Overview
A Tale of Tsushima in Toyotama, yuna tale 3 of 4 — part of Yuna and Taka, and what the war costs the people it was never fought for.
The Black Wolf belongs to Yuna’s questline: Yuna and Taka, and what the war costs the people it was never fought for. It is yuna tale 3 of 4, set in Toyotama.
The ally questlines are the game’s best writing and they run in order, so this tale assumes the ones before it. Yuna’s arc rewards being followed as a sequence rather than picked at.
In the game’s own framing: Killing Altan’s local ally — the Black Wolf — to force the warlord himself into the open.
This is tale 3 of 4 in Yuna’s arc. The ally questlines run in order and assume the ones before them, so they reward being followed as a sequence rather than picked at.

Full walkthroughSpoilers
- 01Meet Yuna at the coast
A campsite near Yoshinaka Bay.
- 02Follow Yuna
About ten steps west, to another encampment.
- 03Kill the lone Mongol
Warming himself at the fire and not expecting you.
- 04Approach the main camp
Along the roads and into the grass around the larger camp.
- 05Defeat seven Mongols
You can chain-assassinate three by the fire, then take the rest of the blue-armoured group however you like. Take the ends of patrol routes first, where a body will not be walked into — a discovered corpse raises the alarm just as reliably as being seen.
- 06Speak with Yuna
At the camp entrance.
- 07Reach the rowboat
Beside the camp.
- 08Sail to the ship
Board and go.
- 09Defeat the six aboard
Which triggers the closing cutscene.
Enemies in this tale, and how to fight them
Strengths
- Dogs — They close instantly and interrupt whatever you were doing, so they are worth killing on sight rather than managing. A single light attack usually does it. Where the tale gives you distance, the bow is cleaner — a dog that reaches you at the wrong moment costs more than its health suggests.
Rewards
- Minor Legend IncreaseA smaller step toward the next Legend rank — the size a side tale, a liberated settlement or a cleared encounter gives.
- Minor Stealth CharmA silver charm. Minor charms are weaker than major ones and go in the minor slots — you start with two major slots and unlock up to four minor ones by honouring Inari Shrines, for six equipped at once.
- +2 SilkUpgrade material. Silk, linen and leather are what armourers and swordsmiths charge to improve your gear.
