OverviewSpoilers
Jito is Lord Shimura's title. The mission named for it is about what the office costs the man holding it.
A late Act 3 chapter, Heart of the Jito turns from the Mongol campaign toward the relationship the whole story has been building — Shimura's duty as jito of Tsushima against his obligation to his nephew.
It sits immediately before Eternal Blue Sky and the game's final mission.
Accounts of this mission differ. The title refers to the office of jito — Lord Shimura's own title — but GameWith's index describes the chapter as Jin targeting a key Mongol administrative leader. Both readings are recorded here; an editor should confirm which the mission actually depicts.
In the game’s own framing: When the next storm hits they attack Khotun Khan. With the right help they may stand a chance — which means going back into Castle Shimura, alone and unseen, to ask.

Full walkthroughSpoilers
- 01Meet Yuna at Jogaku Temple
Near the gift altar.
- 02Follow Yuna to the stables
Out of the temple.
- 03Choose your horse
This choice is permanent. Whistle the horse rather than walking back to it, and remember a charge is itself an opening move against a loose group.
- 04Name your horse
Also permanent. It affects no trophy and no completion. Whistle the horse rather than walking back to it, and remember a charge is itself an opening move against a loose group.
- 05Head to Castle Shimura
Fast travel to Kubara Crossing, northeast of the marker — it is the closest approach to the northern entrance.
- 06Move after the cutscene
Sprint to the nearby rocks and on to the cliff edge.
- 07Scale the cliff
Climb until you reach the crevice in the wall.
- 08Cross the rooftops
Roofs and hanging lines, with Focused Hearing to place the guards. Grapple across the bridge underneath them, then climb to the clifftop. Focused Hearing shows enemies through walls and floors, so use it to place everyone before committing rather than to react once you are seen. Hold the grapple prompt until the line catches before jumping; releasing early drops you.
- 09Enter through the cracked window
Then out again into the external gardens.
- 10Cross the gardens
Pampas grass and haystacks for cover. Crouch into the grass and let the patrol pattern settle before you move; the grass breaks line of sight entirely rather than just slowing detection.
- 11Reach the second building
Up the wooden scaffolding to another broken window.
- 12Follow Lord Shimura
Focused Hearing on the guards. Shimura climbs; follow one floor up, then back out onto the roof. Focused Hearing shows enemies through walls and floors, so use it to place everyone before committing rather than to react once you are seen.
- 13Enter the third window
Wait for the guard in front of it to move off.
- 14Climb the interior ladder
Directly across from the window.
- 15Work up through the floors
Open the door rather than breaking it, and go into the room with the broken door. Out through the small opening onto the roof, then back in through the second opening on your left.
- 16Reach the top floor
Open the door, turn right for the last ladder. A stationary guard watches this stretch — move quickly.
- 17Enter Shimura’s quarters
Up the ladder, open the door in front of you.
- 18Leave the letter
At the marker. That is the whole point of the infiltration.
