OverviewSpoilers

A later Iki chapter as the campaign against the Eagle Tribe escalates toward its decisive stretch.

By this point the expansion has established both threats — the Eagle Tribe’s occupation and the Eagle’s psychological hold — and begins converging them.

The Iki tales are structured as one continuous story rather than a hub of separate questlines, so the pace tightens noticeably in this back half.

In the game’s own framing: With the warship gone, the campaign turns to Fort Sakai — the fort Jin’s father built — and the commander holding it.

Full walkthroughSpoilers

  1. 01
    Speak with Fune

    On top of her house.

  2. 02
    Travel to Fort Sakai

Fast travel if you have a point nearby.

  3. 03
    Free the prisoners outside

Take the watchtower sentries at range first, then the Shaman and his guards. Kill the Shaman before anything else — while he is chanting every Mongol near him hits harder, moves faster and blocks better, so removing him is worth more than removing two ordinary soldiers.

  4. 04
    Speak with the freed raiders

    They will join the assault.

  5. 05
    Enter the fort

    Through the main gate.

  6. 06
    Free the lower fort prisoners

Three cage sections. Smashing the gates is faster than unlocking them, and every freed raider is another distraction working for you.

  7. 07
    Free the prisoners uphill

Two more sections — two cages and four.

  8. 08
    Clear the remaining Mongols

Let the raiders take the attention and hit from behind.

  9. 09
    Reach the upper gates

Uphill once the lower fort is clear.

  10. 10
    Clear the upper fort

Again with the raiders drawing fire.

  11. 11
    Advance through the Tenshu gates

The last threshold before the commander.

  12. 12
    Kill Khunbish

Bank Resolve through the earlier fights and spend it on power attacks. He breaks and runs across a bridge into a house — follow him up two ladders to finish it. Keep at least one Resolve segment in reserve — it is your healing as well as your techniques, and spending the last one on damage is how a won fight turns.

Enemies in this tale, and how to fight them

Strengths

  • Shaman — Kill first, before anything else on this list. A Shaman does not fight you directly — he chants, and while he is chanting every Mongol around him hits harder, moves faster and blocks better. Killing him is worth more than killing any two of the others. Kunai to stagger, then a heavy attack, is the fastest answer; sustained Wind Stance pressure also works. Shamans usually stand back from the line, often on rocks or ruins, so the bow is frequently the cleanest route.

Rewards

  • Major Legend Increase
A large step toward the next Legend rank. Legend gates your Ghost Weapon unlocks and your health and Resolve upgrades, so main and Mythic Tales are the fastest way to raise it.
  • Saddlebag
  • Tribal Terror Mask
A head item. Cosmetic unless the set states otherwise.
