Khotun Khan studied the samurai code to defeat it. The Eagle studies Jin, and defeats him with his own memory.

Ankhsar Khatun leads the Mongol Eagle Tribe, which has seized Iki Island. She is a shaman rather than a field commander, and her principal weapon is a sacred hallucinogenic medicine used to torment captives — in Jin's case, triggering vivid visions of past trauma, including his father's death.

That makes her a fundamentally different antagonist from Khotun Khan. The Khan's threat was tactical; the Eagle's is psychological, and she is effective precisely because Jin arrives on Iki already carrying what she needs.

She has occupied Fort Sakai, once the stronghold of Jin's father Kazumasa — a choice that is strategic and personal at the same time.
