Key takeaways
- Finish outstanding Mythic Tales before this. Kamiagata is the last region; anything left in Izuhara or Toyotama is still reachable, but Act 3 assumes a fully built loadout.
- Upgrade the katana to its ceiling. The final act's opponents are the game's most disciplined. Sharpening and charm slots matter more here than armour choice.
OverviewSpoilers
Act 3 is titled Kill the Khan. There is no ambiguity left about the objective, only about what Jin will be at the end of it.
Honor and Ash opens the final act in Kamiagata, the northernmost region of Tsushima and the last of the game's three open areas. The campaign is no longer about rescue or recruitment — it is the direct pursuit of Khotun Khan.
The act is shorter than the two before it: six missions rather than nine, and it moves quickly toward the confrontations that close the story.
In the game’s own framing: Jin escapes his own side, having been poisoned by the Mongols with the weapon he gave them the idea for. Act III opens with him hunted by everyone.

Full walkthroughSpoilers
- 01Get out of the building
After Kenji speaks, leave by the window.
- 02Escape Castle Shimura, part one
Focused Hearing to place the guards. Ladder to the rooftop, then the hanging lines toward the tents by the well. Focused Hearing shows enemies through walls and floors, so use it to place everyone before committing rather than to react once you are seen.
- 03Escape, part two
Into the building with the broken windows opposite the tents, out the far side, then climb the white tent ahead.
- 04Escape, part three
Find the crevice in the wall and squeeze through into a new part of the castle.
- 05Reach the stables
Rooftops on the right and two hanging lines. Wait for the guards to scatter before you take the roof ladder down.
- 06Mount your horse
Which triggers the Act III opening cinematic. Whistle the horse rather than walking back to it, and remember a charge is itself an opening move against a loose group.
- 07Push on to Yuna
Ride through Kamiagata toward the burnt tree in the distance.
- 08Reach the sacred tree unseen
Pampas grass and Focused Hearing. Crouch into the grass and let the patrol pattern settle before you move; the grass breaks line of sight entirely rather than just slowing detection. Focused Hearing shows enemies through walls and floors, so use it to place everyone before committing rather than to react once you are seen.
- 09Investigate
Two bodies to examine — one by the sacred tree, one near the stream.
- 10Collect your gear
After talking to Yuna, from where Jin woke up.
- 11Meet Yuna at the lookout tower
Out of the building and up its ladder.
- 12Survey
Mark the distant pagoda. Survey points are not decoration — each one you mark puts an objective or a hazard on your map, and skipping them means finding the same things the hard way.
- 13Reach the stables
Pick a new horse. Whistle the horse rather than walking back to it, and remember a charge is itself an opening move against a loose group.
- 14Ride out with Yuna
To the place you just scouted.
- 15Head to the frozen lake
Dismount when told.
- 16Survey the frozen lake
Two things: the prisoners by the dock and the signal cannon. Survey points are not decoration — each one you mark puts an objective or a hazard on your map, and skipping them means finding the same things the hard way.
- 17Approach the ice fishing camp
Stay in the pampas grass. Crouch into the grass and let the patrol pattern settle before you move; the grass breaks line of sight entirely rather than just slowing detection.
- 18Free the prisoners
Kill the guards and open the structure.
- 19Review the plan
Meet Yuna at the rocks and survey the pagoda grounds. Survey points are not decoration — each one you mark puts an objective or a hazard on your map, and skipping them means finding the same things the hard way.
- 20Set off the signal fireworks
Beside a tent to Yuna’s right.
- 21Return to Yuna
Back at the rocks.
- 22Defeat the Mongols
The force the fireworks brought.
- 23Scout Jogaku Temple
Travel there.
- 24Find the frozen waterfall
On the right, by the bamboo.
- 25Enter the temple
Follow Yuna up the frozen waterfall.
- 26Defeat the warlord
Him and his guards, in the way of the entrance.
- 27Rescue the hostages
Freeing them ends the tale.
